I am pregnant in my first trimester. I have experienced some moderate red blood and mild cramping. I saw my doctor on Friday and he said I was find and he even showed me the baby's heartbeat. Now, here it is 2 days later and I am having these symptoms. What is going on?

Some woman experience bleeding and mild cramping and go on to have healthy babies. If you are concerned, which is sounds like you are, call the doctor and tell him/her you want to be checked out. I had a miscarriage before and I started with light pink and then heavy red clots of blood. You'll know, but you should let the doctor examine you to be sure.

Miscarriage can be devastating and very scary. But although a
miscarriage involves bleeding, not all bleeding during pregnancy means
a miscarriage. Any bleeding during the first trimester of pregnancy
must be considered a threatened miscarriage until proven
otherwise. Typically, a threatened miscarriage is just bleeding, and is
not followed by other signs of miscarriage, like cramps or lower
backache. In these situations, the cervix is usually closed, even if
the bleeding is heavy. Once the heartbeat has been detected, there is a
very good chance that the baby will go to term. Even with bleeding,
women that have heard their baby's heartbeat have a 90% chance of
having a full-term pregnancy.
